OUR STORY: In 1989, Florence and Thierry COMMECY decided to create both a company and a family… At the beginning, Terre Rouge dealt with decoration items collected during their numerous trips. In 1993, Terre Rouge exhibited for the first time at the MIC fair – Maison et Objet. Raffia Giraffes, small metal cars, cutlery from Kenya, sinamay boxes are the best sellers of the first years of creation. In 1996 Terre Rouge left Paris to settle near the Roman city of Nîmes.
When Florence and Thierry Commecy brought back from Madagascar the first raffia baskets, they were a huge success. They decided to specialize in bags and fashion accessories. Through its distributors, Terre Rouge is present on the five continents, in France and in its overseas territories of course but also in Germany, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, South Korea, Denmark, Spain, England, the United States, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Lebanon, Mexico, Norway, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey. |
